How to Take Care of your Bosch Dishwasher

Bosch has always been a leading name from stereo equipment to your Bosch dishwasher parts. Because they are a more expensive brand, they take a bit of special maintenance. Some of the maintenance will be what you do for any dishwasher and may seem very common sense. But that same maintenance on a Bosch is an absolute must where on other brands it may be somewhat optional. Here we will discuss cleaning and maintenance and some practical tips and information on the parts.

How to Load a Bosch 800 Plus

The Bosch dishwasher parts and machines are high end and durable. You will also find the most state-of-the-art technology attached to them. The racks are adjustable to raise and lower to accommodate the larger pieces—it can actually hold the top and bottom broiler pans which are some of the largest pieces of cooking equipment you may use. The tines on the racks will also indicate how to load the dishwasher and really leave no room for over stacking if you use the tines only. On the Bosch 800 plus you should make sure your dishes face inward towards each other.

Adding salt to your Bosch Dishwasher:

Refer to your user guide to your model to find out how much salt your dishwasher holds. Remove the bottom rack and twist off the cap on the left of the spray arm. Pour in the amount needed with a funnel and replace cap and rack.

How to clean Bosch stainless steel dishwasher:

Prior to cleaning the Bosch stainless steel dishwasher parts, make sure you inspect the dishwasher and look to see in which direction the grain in the steel goes. It could be vertical, horizontal or diagonal. Once you have found the direction clean the surface with a non abrasive cloth and a non abrasive soap and water. Wash and dry as well in the direction of the grain. Make sure you do not use any cleaners that contain chlorine. There are stainless cleaners on the market now and Bosch puts one out under their company name. If you go against the grain it will create scratches. It is also a good idea to condition the steel as well with a stainless steel conditioner. This you will apply in the direction of the grain as well. Dry off with a dry soft cloth.

How to clean your Bosch dishwasher spray arm:

Cleaning the dishwasher spray arm is an important part of cleaning dishwasher parts. Remove the bottom rack and remove the spray arms according to the care manual. You will need a toothpick and soap. Rinse the blades under warm water and gently clean any debris from the jet holes with the toothpicks—rinse again and dry with a dry cloth.  The spray arm does not need to be cleaned regularly unless the filter is not installed properly.

This is maintenance that any dishwasher parts need but the list is a must for the Bosch to run optimally.
