Received a used and inoperable part

I received the "correct" part, meaning it looked just like my old one, but it was obviously grimy and the copper contacts were visibly oxidized. I'm truly surprised this was not noticed when they packaged and shipped it. It wasn't in the factory plastic bag or anything. I returned it of course.
Apart from that, other aspects of my experience were fine. I chose this supplier because I had previously bought replacement lower drawer tines that were perfect.
